LiveO2 Extreme is our recommended single-user system for home training and clinics alike. It combines oxygen-rich air with simulated altitude adjustable from 10,000 to 22,000 feet. More ways to tailor your training. More room to progress.
Where Extreme Fits
Adjustable altitude is not just for athletes. It gives home users a system they can tailor as their needs change. It also gives clinics flexibility when serving clients of different ages, abilities, and training goals.
Where a guided protocol includes higher-altitude stages, Extreme provides the settings to follow them. Begin at the protocol's starting level and progress with guidance. A higher setting is an option, not an instruction to start higher.
If a lower entry price and fixed-altitude training meet your needs, compare Adaptive Contrast. If your clinic prioritizes higher user throughput per hour and per day, compare Dual Extreme: two training stations support simultaneous sessions and flexible scheduling. For a demanding single user at home, including a high-end athlete, we recommend Extreme with 20 L/min, not a dual-user system.
Tailor the Challenge, Not Just the Workload
Altitude gives you another way to adjust a session without relying only on more speed or resistance. That can matter when physical workload limits how you use your exercise equipment.
For some older adults, hypoxic exercise may allow a cardiovascular challenge at a lower physical workload. Your response and appropriate professional guidance should shape the session. Less movement does not necessarily mean less physiological strain.
For a clinic serving one person at a time, Extreme lets your team tailor the altitude between appointments for different clients. For home users, it offers flexibility beyond a fixed-altitude system's ceiling.
LiveO2 Training App Included
Your system includes owner access to the LiveO2 training app: guidance and support at hand on your phone, with a structured path to follow as your training develops.
- Follow guided sessions: step-by-step instructions and session timers help you work through the protocols available to you.
- Track your training: review completed sessions and notes, and use progress check-ins to follow changes over time.
- Stay supported: find support contacts on your dashboard, alongside your training resources.
Included New User Coaching helps you get started with your setup and training. Training programs include Whole Body O₂, Post-Session Breathwork, Body Awareness, HIIT O₂, Altitude O₂, and the VO₂ Max training program. Your trainer can help you choose appropriate programs and levels for your goals, readiness, and system configuration.
HIIT O₂ starts at 10,000 feet, including on Extreme. Its guided progression includes higher-altitude stages that a fixed-altitude system cannot provide. Those stages also need an appropriate supply configuration and readiness to progress.
Buying Extreme does not automatically unlock trainer-granted protocols. Follow the program's progression rather than treating the maximum altitude as the goal for every session.
Choose Your Air-Supply Capacity
- 10 L/min: one 10 L/min air separator. The starting single-user configuration, with the same adjustable altitude control.
- 20 L/min: two 10 L/min air separators. Our recommendation for a demanding home athlete, with more replenishment capacity and faster initial filling. It can also help a clinic plan closer single-user appointments.
Both configurations have one training station and the same altitude range. More supply does not mean a higher oxygen concentration or a second training station.
L/min describes rated oxygen production, not reservoir size or air delivered with each breath. The reservoir supplies your breathing demand while the separators replenish it. The oxygen chamber refills while the system runs, including during use.
Filling from empty is different from preparing a filled, running system for its next session. Actual session spacing depends on the protocol and the user.
Reservoir Dimensions and Room Planning
Reservoir dimensions: 96 inches high and 57 inches wide when laid flat, and approximately 36 inches deep when filled. These are the overall reservoir measurements.
Choose wall/ceiling hanging hardware or the freestanding frame kit in the product options. For wall or ceiling mounting, space the hanging points approximately 4½ feet apart and allow at least 8 inches between the reservoir and the wall so it can fill freely.
The reservoir dimensions do not include the frame. If you choose the frame kit, plan for approximately 8 feet 6 inches of height, 6 feet of width, and 3 feet of depth. The support frame and its stabilizing legs extend beyond the reservoir itself.
Air separator dimensions: Each air separator is approximately 23.6 inches high, 15 inches wide, and 14.6 inches deep. A 10 L/min configuration uses one air separator; 20 L/min uses two. Place each unit on the floor with at least 8 inches of open space on all sides for ventilation.
Add enough room for your bike or other exercise equipment and a clear path around the training area. The flexible reservoir uses a low-VOC liner and is made in the USA. Ask our team for installation and room-fit guidance before ordering.

Support and Power Options
Product support includes phone or video assistance, video setup guidance, the support portal and instruction manual, and the private LiveO2 user group.
Select US 110V / 60Hz, international 110V / 60Hz, or international 220V / 50Hz for your location. If you are unsure which option you need, contact our team before ordering.
Follow the setup and training guidance. If you have a health condition, seek advice from your healthcare professional before altitude training. Higher altitude is not automatically better or appropriate for every person.
